Nneamaka Igbonezim

Nneamaka Igbonezim (fondly called Amaka) was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria, but currently resides in the United States of America. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Amaka was an intern with the Smithsonian National Museum of African Arts in Washington D.C. when she attended the Igbo World Festival of Arts & Culture for the first time in 2017. She was so impressed and inspired by what she experienced that she changed the topic of her doctoral thesis to include the annual Igbo World Festival of Arts and Culture held annually in Staunton Virginia.
